01/19/2008 Brian McCarthy Memorial Paddle : A tribute to an amazing man of honesty and integrity. He was a great pillar of the community and fixture at Loch Arbour. A Surfer, A Fisherman , a loving Husband, Brother, and loving Father. In memoram we all gathered to celebrate the life of an outstanding member of the surfing community in a way we as surfer can all relate to. Thanks for the waves on this cold gray day they were all ridden in your name, you will be missed. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Healing Surfers 2009 : Images by Kelley Conrey. Having donated my time before at this remarkable occasion I think the mis-naming of this gallery is rather appropriate. I am sure everyone will agree that the healing goes all the way around at this event. A very special thanks to Kelley Conrey who did an amazing job filling in for me as I was recovering from double inner ear infections.
